Several activities, both educational and fundraising, are already scheduled for the coming year. All of them will be enjoyable. If you are interesting in volunteering for any of the following activities, please call us at our office at (510) 793-6222 or

We have a great need for help in our garden at the Local History Museum. The garden needs an ongoing monthly crew to keep it up. Please join us the second Saturday of each month at 190 Anza St. in Fremont.

Activities where volunteers are welcome include:

  • Tree Planting at Quarry Lake
  • Earth Day - April 19, 2008
  • Art Festival Lemonade Stand - Sat. and Sun, Aug 2 & 3, 2008 [at top right, TCEC volunteers serve lemonade at the 2007 event]
  • Make-a-Difference Day - October [at bottom right, TCEC volunteers spend Make-a-Difference Day working at the Museum of Local History]
  • Local History Museum Garden - 2nd Saturday of each month, 9:30 am to 12:00 noon
  • Office Help - Thursdays, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Wetlands/Creek Clean Ups
  • Help with Fundraisers/Art Show
  • Newsletter Reporter
  • Serve on the Board of Directors
  • Help with Community Meetings/Event
